A software nerd who got into radio — because, well, radios are cool.

Hi, I’m Ethan — a hobbyist IT guy first and foremost, lately getting into radio too. I’ve got my GMRS license (WSHI362) and my Technician (KD3BQP), and I grabbed the kd3bqp.radio domain to run a little blog, my email, and a web-log of everything I get up to.

I’m slowly working toward my General. For now I’m running a car CB antenna on 10M and tryyyying to get out there — I just happened to start right during some rough solar conditions, haha. I’m also a long-time wanna-be-prepper, so I run with my local YARS group here in York, PA — our combined ARES / RACES / Skywarn / AUXCOMM.
